Creamy and savory, this bisque will be the hit of your meal!



  1. Melt the butter in a Dutch oven or large saucepan over medium-low heat
  2. Blend the flour and garlic granules into the butter until well incorporated. Continue cooking, stirring, for about 2 minutes.
  3. Warm the water in another saucepan over medium heat, whisk in Instant Milk and tomato powder.
  4. Add Peppercorns, celery and green onion.
  5. Slowly whisk in the warmed milk and continue cooking and stirring until thickened.
  6. If desired, puree the soup in a blender or food processor** at this point and then return it to the saucepan.
  7. Stir in the seafood and the sherry. Simmer 5 minutes. Serve hot.

Recipe Notes

Finish: Replace the green onions with finely chopped shallots. If desired, garnish the soup with Thrive Green Onions, Thrive Cilantro, or Thrive Parsley.

Jason & Lindsay Budge met Steve & Amy Palmer while going to college. They didn’t immediately realize the great and enduring partnership they would form, but they both felt the need to prepare for the future. The two families had always believed that the keys to happiness are self reliance and the balance of life’s priorities, including education, healthy diet, physical fitness, financial independence, family, and faith in God.
