Have you started your Emergency Food Home Store yet?

Here are some tips on how to get started or build up your Home Store:

  • Be creative if you don’t have much space. You can use closets, under beds, behind and under living room furniture, sideways shelves on wheels in small spaces between cabinets in kitchens, crawl spaces in large tubs, the list goes on and on.

 

  • Very important: Store what you actually eat! I remember my parents had 50 gallon drums of wheat in the basement, and books on how to use it, but we only ever made some bread 4 loaves at a time. If we had experienced the need to eat that wheat, I doubt it would have been any fun…Now I have a Home Store of Thrive Life foods, for a variety of foods I have been eating for over 18 months now. I won’t have any issues if an emergency hits, because I already eat it!
