How to Refresh Thrive Life Freeze Dried Cheese

Drizzle 3 ½ tbsp. of cold water over 1 cup of cheese and stir until well combined. Let sit and occasionally stir for 35 minutes or until cheese has softened.

Fresh Equivalent

1 cup dry = 1 cup fresh grated cheese

Click here to view the THRIVE to Fresh Equivalents Chart.

  • Use it in quesadillas, burritos, tacos, soups, dips, salads, pizza, breads-anything that could use some cheesy goodness!  If you like crunch, don’t even refresh it, just throw it on top!
  • If you’re melting cheese on top of a dish, make sure it’s had at least an hour to reconstitute in the refrigerator so that it will be the right consistency for melting.

How Thrive Life Advertises

We have a massive advertising budget…

that goes right to our best customers.

Yes, you read that right! We don’t pay lots of money to gigantic super-rich media corporations so they can air a message that nobody wants to hear, or even believe. We know everyone is skeptical of advertising.

So we use a different model. We use word of mouth through our customers! We know that if you refer a friend to Thrive Life they are more inclined to buy, and you should get part of every order they make.

How does it work?

Be good. But more importantly, DO good.

About the Thrive Life Company

The history of Thrive Life

Jason & Lindsay Budge met Steve & Amy Palmer while going to college. They didn’t immediately realize the great and enduring partnership they would form, but they both felt the need to prepare for the future. The two families had always believed that the keys to happiness are self reliance and the balance of life’s priorities, including education, healthy diet, physical fitness, financial independence, family, and faith in God. However, there was something important missing in their goal of self reliance: a good supply of provisions to prepare for hardships or emergencies. The problem? They didn’t know how to start or what to store for a long term food supply.

In the summer of 2004, Jason and Steve felt a great responsibility to solve this problem. They were facing difficult decisions and challenges—including Lindsay staying in the hospital for 3 months before their birth to save their twin daughters − and they felt they could no longer wait to help everyone become self-reliant.  They turned down wonderful opportunities, took the leap of faith, and started Thrive Life.

Thrive Life has developed food rotation products which make food storage and organization manageable. The company also developed a line of food with over 90 super quality, delicious foods. While the decades of shelf life for the food makes it the best solution for long-term food storage, the convenience and great flavor of this easy-to-use food make the perfect ingredients for everyday meal preparation and best nutrition. Thrive Life is committed to having the best foods on the market and making them a part everyday life!

Through innovation, hard work, balance, the dedication of its founders, officers, workers and consultants, and an unceasing commitment to help people all over the world be prepared, Thrive Life has become the most trusted name in the food industry.

Fresh strawberries in bowl on table

Thrive Life Freeze Dried Food is Better Than Fresh!

Did you know that “fresh” produce in your grocery store isn’t really “fresh”?

Webster’s Dictionary defines “fresh” as “… Lately produced, gathered, or prepared for market…”  This connotates great flavor and nutrition, but that is as far from the truth as can be for what is sold as fresh produce in most grocery stores!

It takes from days to weeks to get produce to grocery stores! And even here in the Garden State of New Jersey where I live, I have found that in the summer, lots of roadside “farm markets” are importing produce from other states and even countries! And if it takes days to weeks, how can it be picked ripe, packaged and shipped and still be truly “fresh”?

One example is strawberries. They won’t ripen after they are picked, and only last a few days after being picked before they rot and/or mold, even refrigerated. So if they are grown in Georgia or Florida (2 of the closest Southern States known for growing strawberries in our off season, which is only about 2 weeks in May here in NJ), and it takes who knows how long to wash and package them, then another day to truck them to NJ, how can they really be “fresh”? If you have bought strawberries that are white or green inside, they were NOT picked ripe! And they were NOT red outside when picked either! They were injected with food coloring to make them look more palatable!

The first issue is flavor. Did you ever taste a strawberry ripe right off the vine? It was sweet, right? How about those red outside, white inside strawberries? Did they ever taste sweet? I think not…

The other issue is nutrition. The point of highest nutrition of fruits and veggies is when they are at the peak of ripeness. Before that point they don’t have all the nutrition, and after that time, nutrition degrades. Thrive Life produce is picked right at that peak of ripeness point, then flash-frozen, which locks in all that flavor and nutrition!

Well there you have it! Thrive Life Freeze Dried Food is Better than “Fresh”!

Thanks again for reading!   WHAT’S NEXT?

Thrive Life Makes Healthy, Portable, Easy Baby Food

Thrive Life fruits and veggies make the best baby food! Here’s why:

  • It is all natural, fresh produce! Not cooked, not processed with artificial preservatives, colorants or even sugar or salt, and has the best flavor and nutrition. The fruits and veggies are picked at the peak of ripeness, so they contain all the nutrients and have a better flavor than those picked way before ripeness to get them shipped to stores before they will rot, and then artificially ripened using chemicals and gases.

  • You can save money! A Family size can of Thrive Green Peas makes 21 servings, and Wholesale price is $21.09. That’s $1 per serving, better than fresh*, when you need it!

  • So easy to prepare! Just powder up the fruits or veggies in a blender or food processor in seconds. (Or even a coffee grinder that was never used for coffee beans, I have a tiny one that grinds about 1/2 cup at a time). Add water and voila! Instant baby food.

  • No need to carry those heavy jars or tubs! Thrive Life foods are very light in weight, so you can carry it anywhere easily! Powder it up ahead of time and keep in a snack size zip lock bag or small container, just add water, mix and feed the hungry baby.

  • Won’t go bad! Thrive Life keeps for up to 25 years in unopened cans, and lasts about a year or more even after the can is opened.

Green Chile Mexican Soup

1/4 c. Thrive Onion Slices (if you want smaller pieces, substitute Thrive Chopped Onions)
 clv. garlic, minced
2 c. Homemade Salsa Verde (or 1 lg can of salsa verde from the store)
 large can green chilies
1/3 c. Thrive Bechamel Sauce mix
tsp. THRIVE Chicken Bouillon + 2 cups water

Chips, cheese, and guacamole as desired

  1. Add all ingredients to a pot.
  2. Bring pot to a boil and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until beans are soft. Garnish with Thrive Cheddar cheese (if you put it on top of the soup right out of the pot, it will melt nicely!), dollops of guacamole and tortilla chips.

Adapted from Natalie Riley’s original recipe.

Homemade Salsa Verde

1 c. Thrive Chili Peppers

1/4 c. Thrive Sliced Onions

3 cloves garlic

4 peeled and halved Tomatillos (looks like green tomatoes with a lacy green skin over them.)

1 t. Thrive Cilantro

1/2 t. Thrive Chef’s Choice Seasoning

1/2 t. Thrive Peppercorn Blend

2 T. Olive Oil

1/2 c. water

Cook tomatillos in water until they are soft. Put all ingredients in blender and process until as smooth as you desire. I like it a bit chunky. This will store in the fridge for a few days.

Peter Drucker said:

“In a few hundred years, when the history of our time will be written from a long-term perspective, it is likely that the most important event historians will see is not technology, not the Internet, not e-commerce. It is an unprecedented change in the human condition. For the first time — literally — substantial and rapidly growing numbers of people have choices. For the first time, they will have to manage themselves. And society is totally unprepared for it.”

How can we prepare to manage ourselves? Here are some ideas I have garnered in my recent reading and listening:

  1. Know what is happening! Take stock of your personal weaknesses and strengths. Keep yourself notified of current events, for your family, community, country, world. Realize that changes are going to happen all your life.
  2. Take time for you every day! Do something that you need to take care of for you or your business, and don’t let anyone interrupt!
  3. Listen to others!  People need to know they are important, so really open your heart and mind and listen to them. Only then will you know how to communicate with them!  Others also see you in a different perspective than you see yourself, so they can give you insight that you might not otherwise receive.
  4. Be an example!  Do what you want to see the world do, be the first if necessary! Don’t follow in others’ footsteps, make the trail yourself!
  5. Set goals! This is very important, as without them you will have only dreams. Read up on S.M.A.R.T. goal setting, set your goals, then work on them daily! A great way to keep the goals is to give yourself prizes when you reach milestones.  Don’t forget to review and analyze them every 6 months or so, and make any changes necessary.
  6. Keep a growth mindset!  Realize that everything we do is based on our own efforts and choices, not on how/where we were born. Make your focus point # 7.
  7. Constantly progress!  In other words, better yourself. Learn a new skill, take up a new hobby, take a class, be a volunteer, work on a weakness, etc.
  8. Find a mentor!  We all need to be taught things, so find someone who is experienced and successful at what you want to do, and ask them for help!
What does this have to do with Thrive Life? I wouldn’t be doing all this if not for the people who have come into my life through my affiliation with Thrive Life! I am working toward a better me!

And you can too!

What's so great about Thrive Life food?

Ways to Thrive

There are 6 ways to enjoy

Thrive Life food: Why is Freeze dried food so Amazing?

  1. Snack on it right out of the can, or make a “trail mix”. Create your own or use one of these great trail mix recipes! You will need to drink extra water when snacking on dried foods, so this is a great way to get into that habit!
  2. Refreshed by either tumbling in a container with a bit of water, sitting in a marinade, or spraying a tiny bit of water on the more fragile foods like raspberries, blackberries, cherries and red seedless grapes so they don’t go all soggy.
  3. Toss them right into the food you are cooking. Be sure to add extra water if it’s not a recipe that already has lots of liquid. See our chart for how much water is needed to refresh the ingredient you are using.
  4. My favorite way: Thrivealize!  Use Thrive ingredients in place of “fresh”, canned or frozen when you create your family’s favorite meals! Veggies, meats and sauce powders are great for soups, stews, casseroles and stir-frying. Fruits can be used powdered in smoothies, cake frostings for extra flavor and avoiding food coloring, or whole or broken up in pies, turnovers and sauces.
  5. Chef Boxes: A kit  full of ingredients and recipes to make fast and easy meals! About half or more of the recipe is from the box, the rest from your fridge and/or pantry.
  6. Simple Plate: Home delivered, Already prepped Meal kits! Cereal box sized packages, with only cellophane wrapping for each ingredient, hardly any trash! Just add water and perhaps a few pantry items, cook and serve!
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
